Notes
I'm not logging this as a race because I didn't race it. Couldn't have if I had wanted to. I've had a chest cold for several days now & am wheezy and coughing. So, I haven't run all week & have done no preparation for this. Went out because Ezra & Crystal were going to be there. Also saw Jordan & Julie & Andy & Hugh. Ezra and I started out together, but I moved on ahead. I coughed like a crazy woman about .5 into it & wondered if I'd have to drop out, but was able to collect myself and keep on. After that it was fine & I just went along. at 2.25 I started to get wheezy again & felt like I might get sick, but made it to the finish line. SO . . . trying not to think about the time here . . . but it was nice to be with the folks & be involved in the community event I guess. The weather was dreary - cold & wet, but not horribly so. Went to Uprise after for the first time in eons. It was good to see the folks, but seems like the whole world is a tad down right now. I hadn't even seen Lisa & Steve & they had done the Run as well. I might have felt like hanging around the race more after if wx had been better. It was awesome to watch Ezra & Crystal do their first 5K though & to run w/ Ezra for a few. They want to do another one too! Next time I know Ezra will beat me & maybe Crystal too! Oh, and I forgot to stop Garmin at the finish so this time is wrong. Maybe I'll update with results are posted. Still, not bad considering all I guess & I am grateful I could do it at all.
