After my cute little run I decided to do a cute little ride! Had driven Suby to Forum and did the run OB with Dewi locked on the back of Suby. Finished the run, rested a bit, got a drink and headed out. Was looking forward to Eagle Bluffs today and thought that would be a good distance for a little baby brick (is that what they call it?). At any rate, it was sunny heading out. I had to go a bit past Eagle Bluffs to get 10 as I wanted 20 total. I wasn't quite at 10 when a huge tree over the trail stopped me. There was no getting past it. Good thing I didn't have my mind set on Hartsburg today! I was surprised to see the tree as everything up to that point had been fine. No biggie though as I was nearly at 10 anyway. Turned at the downed tree and went back to the Bluffs. Hiked up and enjoyed the view. I even saw two people kayaking along the river. I could hear them talking. I was totally alone at the Bluffs thought. It was a beautiful day and I spent some time up there. Headed back & stopped at McBaine to refill water. Hmmm. Storm clouds. Decided to hurry back. Just past Scott the thunder started. Got to Forum, loaded back up on the car, got in the car and whoosh! Here comes the rain! Good timing! I feel good about this afternoon's activities. The pace is pleasing too especially since I have other traffic to go around at times.
