Wow! Really nice ride today! I waited all a.m. for the rain showers that radar showed were on our doorstep to pass through, but they stalled & then disappeared so I finally set out figuring I'd have just enough time to get to Rocheport and back. Went straight there with no stops. There were people up till Scott to jockey around, but then it was better. Took a quick break in Rocheport & passed out some band-aids to a little girl who had fallen off her bike. Headed back & came straight back. I was working hard, but feeling pretty good. I'm glad I was able to pull off a 13 mph average, especially in light of other traffic on the trail. I did have to work for it (the wind helped in a couple of spots) and I was afraid I'd lose it on CV, but I was up for the push today. Hot sun in the summertime!! Love the trail and the rides.
