Just did 80 minutes because who knows how accurate distance is in the trails? Naturally after two days of rain, running alone on muddy single-track trails as the sun went down was the wisest course of action. This run was so much fun. Flew down treacherous slopes and grabbed tree branches as I flung myself around corners and just had a blast.
The rain picked up throughout the course of the run, so during the couple of miles back after I left the trails, it was pouring, which was genuinely AWESOME.
Did some existential thinking and I can't decide if I'm shedding layers to reveal my true self or if I was a well-made tapestry that's now unravelling, but either way, I'm having an awful lot of fun making a mess and leaving brilliantly colored threads all over the floor.
