Very happy to say that this run went well after a minor set-bask last Friday, and I didn't feel any knee pain.

Hoping to hit 20 miles this coming week and continue to build.

This was a 3 mile run with Anders around Lake of the Isles, and I think the entire city was out walking, running, biking reading, hammock-ing, etc, around the lakes today. The day was a glorious one. 65 and sunny, not too warm, but certainly warm enough for shorts and a sports bra. It was a happy day to be a runner. And while I was sad I continue add 3 more and continue on for the entirety of Anders' run, I'm trying to be smart and think about the long-term. He dropped me after we ran around Isles and he continued around Calhoun, and I enjoyed the 4 block walk home in the sunshine. I stretched and did some PT work outside while I waited for Anders to come back, and it was just delightful.

After running we made homemade Chicken, bacon, ranch flatbreads, with carmelized onions and chives and deliciousness, and made roasted brussel sprouts with olive oil and salt and pepper, and it was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon and evening. Life is good.

Did an hour of yoga post-dinner to make sure my injury and strength and flexibility continues to go the right direction.

Lesson from last week: straight mileage seems to be okay, strides seem to be okay, 6x300 on the track and mile pace felt fine the day of but didn't feel fine the next day.

Thoughts about the week to come:

I want to continue add-in strides on an almost daily basis. I think touching the speed frequently is going to be important.

Perhaps try another workout this week, but on the roads and not the track? Maybe that will be better? Maybe do something slower than mile pace? Maybe that will be better? Maybe track is okay but not 6 pieces? Maybe that was too many?

Continue to do strength and flexibility EVERYDAY. Its working, and this is important.

And of course: patience, patience, patience.

Sounds like some stellar springtime living and fancy eating! You are learning so much through this experience, and it will pay off with your increased strength, flexibility, and 100% health as you get back into training.

Impressive diligence. I could learn much from your calculated, self-reflective processes. Shout-out to caramelized onions.
