Easy afternoon run. I decided not to worry about the pace today, just go out and enjoy the day. Did the same loop as yesterday, so fairly hilly once again. Pace ranged from 6:30s downhill to 7:10 uphill. Legs were definitely sore, but I kept an easy effort and felt fine. It was a really nice run. This has been a tough transition weak, I am beat up from adjusting to the hills, the heat, and the increasing mileage, so I've been doubting myself a little. But I getting some perspective back now. 6:50s for an easy effort on a hilly route... is probably about where I should be.
Long run tomorrow will be at a similar effort, at this point in the summer I am just looking to get in the time on my feet (at least 1:50, likely the full 2 hrs). I am sure that by the end of the summer I will knock a long run out of the park, but it won't be tomorrow.
