T70; H43; DP46; W 5S: I was scedule for an 18-mile hill run today--or 22 flat. I chose to do hills, as I haven't done many in a while. My right knee and calf were a problem from the start. I didn't think I'd get 2 miles. But, leg loosened up thereafter for a while. However, during mile 7, my right leg went "wooden", and I started to limp. I wanted to walk from that point, but decided to push through just so I could get home sooner.
I talked to knee doc yesterday; He, too, thinks that right leg problem is probably due to the pinched nerve in my back. I haven't had a spinal injection in more than a year for that problem and I'm due for one. So, I called and set up appt. for Wedneday. Hope it takes care of problem.
I believe this is the warmest temp that I've run in so far this year (other than the few miles I ran in Grand Cayman). The heat didn't bother me as it usually does; Although, the humidity was low.
