Fartlek session in Deansgrange. On the 2nd fast section of each lap I went about 100 - 120m longer than last week. Not sure if it was a good idea as my recovery was shorter and I didn't feel fully recovered before I had to up the pace again. Still doing it this way made me work harder and I felt pretty drained at the end of the session. At the end of the 3rd lap my average pace was good and same as last week I kept a strong enough pace on the way home so the average wouldn't fall to much. In the end I felt strong finishing up an I averaged 7.25m/mile which was a nice surprise - I didn't expect to improve on last weeks run but I did. Saying that this weeks session felt a lot harder than last week - thats probably due to the fact that I've come off a good weeks training (30 miles) and my legs are not as fresh as last week. Achilles still a concern but stretching it regularly so fingers crossed
