Started very slowly and the legs were completely dead - felt like they were concrete. First 20 mins it was slow but great that I had no issues with my achilles. I got a little pain in my calf after 25 min and stopped to stretch for a minute. When I started back again I felt much better and with a shorter stride length I skipped along all the way to the finish. I never pushed it and my HR was ok the whole way. The average speed dropped from about 8.50 per mile to 8.34 per mile in the second half of the run which is a big improvement. The next morning my achilles was a little bit stiff but not too bad. First time in quite a while that I ran reasonably smoothly so nice to have that feeling again. fri and Sat off now to recover from 5 days in a row and hopefully get a run in on Sunday
