Notes

Strong fartlek session on my own in Deansgrange Park. It was quite windy again which made the second half of each lap quite difficult. I was feeling pretty good on the warm up and on the start of the 1st lap pushed the pace for about 450m or thereabouts. I then dropped the pace again until I had turned back into the wind again and reached the path. I picked the pace up again uphill and against the wind for about 250m. I did the same on each of the 3 laps which meant I averaged at a very good pace and had enough time to recover each time. Felt very strong most of the way and no issues again with the exception of a niggle in my achilles and knee. Will stay off the track for another while until they pick up. Happy to keep doing fartleks on my own if they are close to as good as this. I kept a strong pace right until the finish as I wanted to average under 7.30m/mile. Surprised by my overall speed considering I did a brisk 6 miles yesterday. Day off tomorrow followed by 80 - 85 mins on Thursday. Touch wood I can keep this level of training up for the next 6 weeks until the heath 10km
