Notes

Activity Type: Running | Event Type: Training | Course: --

This is the course that the Rabun Half should have been if not for the weather detours. Gorgeous trail today with Alan. Took it slow so we could enjoy the scenery. Still in the clouds on top of Rabun Bald but the trail down was fun to run after the steep decent for about 1/2 mile from the bald. We ran 3 miles down lush overgrown (but not with weeds)forest. The ferns blackberries Mountain Laurel, Rhododendron, Solomon's Seal and wildflowers made this trail one of my favorite. After getting back on the forestry road we took the loop to Holton Falls and were rewarded with 2 beautiful waterfalls.Only down side was the walk back to the car on forestry road but allowed us to cool down. Met back up with the Run Bum and thanked him for the fun run.
